Fairwyn, Ltd. owner Brian Pollard is requesting a conditional use permit for a private lodge on the lakefront as part of the larger plan to “keyhole” the 330+ family homes he’s building in the Symphony Bay Development onto the 93 feet of Geneva lakefront he owns at Buttons Bay. The housing development is over 2 miles from Geneva Lake, but the advertisement for the new development promises Symphony Bay owners “private lake access.” It seems the plan is to use property Pollard already owns on the lakefront, including the old Van Dyke Fishing Boat Rental and Bait Shack, to grant this “private” access.
During this March 20 public meeting, the Linn Plan Commission will review the request to grant this property a conditional use permit. The agenda can be found on the Town of Linn website here.
You don't need to wait until March 20 to take action! CLICK HERE to sign the petition that Care for Lake Geneva will submit to the Commission before the March 20th meeting, urging Jim Weiss and the Plan Commission to deny Pollard’s request for a conditional use permit.
