**Lake Geneva has cancelled this event***
The City of Lake Geneva is holding a Public Open House Tuesday, October 22 to discuss the future of the former Hillmoor Golf Course property. This is a critical opportunity to help preserve the last significant piece of green space in the city!
Come out, and speak out to protect this precious green space from commercialization! Click below to let us know you plan to attend.
When: Tuesday, October 22 6:30 - 8:30
Where: Badger High School (Cafeteria/Union), 220 E. South Street, Lake Geneva
We are thankful that a handful of city officials stood up for this opportunity for the public to be involved in this critical decision. Alderman Shari Straube led a City Council vote (4-3) in late September to tap the breaks on the Vandewalle proposal to develop Hillmoor until hearing more public input [click here to view the meeting. Shari starts within the first few seconds]. Plan Commissioner Michael Krajovic ignited the September 16 Plan Commissioner meeting with a compelling argument as to why the community needs to be more involved in Hillmoor's vision [click here to view that meeting. Michael starts around the 3 minute mark].
Learn more about this critical issue in our Hillmoor Feature Blog Post on the Care for Lake Geneva website.
If you have questions regarding the event or would like to submit a written comment for city officials, contact City Clerk Lana Kropf at firstname.lastname@example.org / 262-249-4092.
The Lake Geneva City Council is expected to update the city's Comprehensive Plan this December, which will severely impact future development plans, preservation and city services. A major component in this update is a potential map change to the Hillmoor property.
