The Lake Geneva City Council will hold a public meeting on Monday, November 13 to vote on proposed amendments to the city's Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Map.
This decision fell to the City Council after the Planning Commission voted unanimously on October 16 to deny the map change that would have allowed the Geneva Inn to turn surrounding residential properties into banquet facilities and add additional rooms. The Planning Commission did, however, vote in favor of the map change that would allow the former Hillmoor Golf Course to develop into a subdivision.
The Council met on October 23, but after hearing the many concerns of community members, decided to postpone their vote until November 13.
This is it! The City Council will vote to either accept or reject the recommendations from the Planning Commission regarding these proposed amendments to the city's Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Map.
This is quite possibly the most consequential Lake Geneva City Council decision will have in our lifetime. Come one, come all!
